The role of Peer Advisor focuses on building relationships with undergraduate Teacher Education students and providing assistance to these students. The Educational Foundations and Professional Experiences office (EFPE) and the College of Education Advising and Teacher Success office (CATS) are resources meant to prepare students to make informed decisions about their academic career, college experience, and future teaching career. We assist students in exploring the available majors and minors, navigating the registration system, understanding general education and major requirements, and connecting them to campus resources. In this role, you will work closely with faculty, staff, and students and gain a deeper understanding of the Teacher Education program.

This role is social! You will be working with students on a daily basis, answering phone calls, and assisting with emails. This is a great learning opportunity before you head out to manage your own classroom! We are flexible and understand that school comes first, but please understand that this role is vital to the success of our Teacher Education students.

We are searching for students who represent a variety of teaching majors, backgrounds and experiences.

Applicants must be a fully declared teaching major AND work study eligible is preferred. Our offices are open 8:00am - 4:30pm. Currently, our departments need coverage in the mornings between 8:00am - 1:00pm and on Tuesday/Thursday afternoons until close.
