Alumni Student Assistant
Description: Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving team seeks a student assistant to help coordinate events logistics and communication to engage UNI alumni, faculty, staff, friends, and students.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing alumni events and programs, including Homecoming, networking events, and fundraising activities.
- Coordinate event logistics, such as venue setup, catering, and registration.
- Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in managing and distributing marketing materials for alumni events and programs.
- Assist in maintaining and updating alumni records and databases.
Requirements:
- Available to work 10-20 hours per week during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
- Periodic evening and weekend hours assisting with events
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, basic knowledge in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Experience working independently and with a team
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to think strategically and problem solve
Salary/Benefits:
- $11 per hour with $.25 raises per semester
