Student Donor Experience Officer
Position Overview
The Student Digital Experience Officer plays a critical role in advancing the mission of the UNI Alumni Association & Foundation by building and strengthening relationships with UNI alumni, friends and donors. By sharing the student experience, providing philanthropy education and highlighting the impact of giving, Student DXOs help foster pride, connection and support for UNI.
Key Responsibilities
- Engaged with your assigned portfolio of alumni and friends through phone calls, emails, texts, and other forms of outreach.
- Have authentic, meaningful conversations to learn about the donor’s connection to UNI and share relevant campus updates
- Provide donor relation and stewardship touchpoints, including thank you cards, student testimonials and impact stories
- Assist in maintaining accurate donor information in VanillaSoft
- Help identify major gift leads or volunteers through conversation
- Follow up on open pledges or giving opportunities in a respectful, relationship-driven way
- Act as a positive ambassador for UNI and the Panther Engagement Center
- Attend regular meetings, trainings and coaching sessions
Expectations
Required
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Northern Iowa.
- Strong understanding of donor relations and fundraising practices.
- Ability to effectively articulate the impact of giving to the UNI Foundation.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to address challenges in real time.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills knowledge of annual giving best practices
Compensation & Hours
Hourly Rate: $15.00 per hour
Open: Monday-Friday 2:30-7:30
Minimum Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Location: East Bartlett 11 (No Remote Work)
