
Community Engagement AmeriCorps Program Assistant
The Office of Community Engagement is hiring two students for work study positions. These positions are available to any student who is eligible for work study.
Hours: minimum of 5 hrs weekly September-May
Living Stipend (pay total) $4,500 for 300 hours
Education Award: $1,565.08 (can be used to pay U-Bill or future education/loans)
Total Compensation Package: turning your $2,500 work study funding into $6,000
Position Titles: Community Engagement AmeriCorps Program Assistant
Anticipated Service Schedule: The member will complete service hours between 8:00 am-4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with some nights and weekends as needed.
The member should expect to serve 5-10 hours/week to complete their term of service.

Service activities include but are not limited to:
- Create new content that will be published to the UNI Community Engagement Website and other platforms
- Create educational materials such as brochures, newsletters, and pamphlets for Community Engagement
- Track the community engagement hours
- Assist in the development of content with the monthly Newsletter
- Act as the initial access point for community engagement requests to the University, in collaboration with the Volunteer Center for the Cedar Valley
- Develop educational materials to raise awareness of the of the Office of Community Engagement
- Assist in the planning and execution of UNIs first campus wide day of service
- Enhance and elevate events, including the Volunteer Fair, Community Engagement Celebration Day , and the Cedar Valley Nonprofit Awards Luncheon.
