The Center for Urban Education provides ACT Prep Tutoring sessions will be provided at no cost to students from Black Hawk County who are preparing to take or re-take the ACT exam. All ACT Prep tutoring sessions will be held via Zoom. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic tutoring to students to prepare for the ACT
  • Record time spent with students and complete progress reports as required
  • Participate in team meetings, either in person or virtually
  • Proactively communicate with staff about any questions
  • Submit weekly time cards

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work remotely in a location that provides a quiet and professional workspace
  • One semester of volunteer or work experience tutoring.
  • Available to provide tutoring during any or all of the following shifts: Tuesday- Thursday, 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Patient, reliable, punctual, and have good communication skills
