Rialto Dining Student Assistant WEEKENDS - Fall 2026
Looking for a job that's on campus, won't interfere with your weekly class schedule, and is a great place to learn valuable skills for your future while meeting new friends? Then join us for weekends at the Rialto Dining Center for the Fall 2026 semester!
You can learn how to cook, create pizzas, scoop ice cream, put together a recipe, expand your current cooking skills, or just gain more knowledge of what it will be like to cook when you get to your own place. Get in on the action of helping us serve our guests, meet new friends, and get to know our staff and the guests that come through to dine as well.
The pay for these positions is $12.50 per hour and paid bi-weekly
Schedule: Students working only weekends are required to work both Saturday and Sunday every weekend, but we are only open for lunch and dinner on those days. Lunch shifts start at 10:15am, 10:45am, 11am, or 11:45am and go until about 2:15/2:30pm. Dinner shifts start at 4pm, 4:15pm, 4:30pm, or 5:15pm and go until about 7:30pm.
Duties:
On weekends, all students are labeled as either “Dish” or “Utility”. “Dish” students will report to the Dishroom, and “Utility” students will be assigned to one of our venues where needed. We try to keep students in places they have been before, but sometimes people do get moved around.
Let's introduce our different venues you could be working in!
Fromaggio's: pizza - help build and cook pizzas as well as maintain our taco bar so it can stay fresh during service.
Cornucopia: home cooking - Ham, turkey, casseroles, potatoes, pasta and sauce, and many other comforts of home. This location also offers items for vegans. Help keep the items stocked on the line for our guests.
Sparks: grill - high action and typically one of the busier areas. Learn to make fries, burgers, chicken and even some unique sandwiches.
Emiliano's: Action station - want to help build street tacos, mac and cheese bowls, omelets, and many other made to order items. A great way to interact with customers and help them create their meal.
Refinery: Allergen friendly - this area allows us to feed allergen friendly foods. The salad bar is also located in this area so this space will keep you busy.
Smore's/Dining: Desserts and maintaining tables/beverages/tableware - Help us dish up some yummy desserts, scoop some ice cream, help clean tables, stock plates, silverware, and cups. Ensure our guests have a great finish to the meal with desserts and dine on a clean table. Great way to meet many of our guests.
Colby's: deli - help maintain the deli area by ensuring fresh meats, cheeses, and their toppings are available. Colby's also is the home for yogurt, fruit, and soup.
Greeter: cashier - Greet the many guests that come through the door and help with any issues they may have to ensure they can dine with the dining center.
We can't wait to have you join our team!
