Online and Distance Education Marketing and Office Assistant

The Division of Continuing Education & Special Programs is seeking student assistance in providing support for marketing/communications duties as well as clerical duties as assigned.
 
Marketing-related duties would include assisting in general content writing and story development, mailing list generation, market research, website content development, and general project management / marketing duties as assigned.       
 
Office assistant duties would include general clerical duties such as proofreading and formatting documents, imaging documents and course files, data entry, copying, filing, receptionist duties, running errands, and other office duties as assigned. 
 
Hours
This is a year-round position. The total hours for this position for the spring and fall semesters would be flexible (based on student’s schedule) with a cap of no more than 20 hours/week. The position should expect to work 5-8 hours per week in a marketing capacity, with remaining hours spent fulfilling general office duties. There would be opportunity for additional hours during the summer term (25-30 hours/week). It is preferred that interested students be available to work every day, Monday - Friday, for at least a two-hour shift during the summer term. 
 
Qualifications:
·        Marketing, Digital Media, Public Relations, English, Communication majors and experience preferred
·        Strong written and oral communication, time management, and organizational skills
·        Must be self-motivated, punctual, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to handle multiple tasks
·        Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and a knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
·        Previous clerical experience preferred
