The primary functions of a Science Tutor are to assist students in the learning process to become independent learners; help improve students’ understanding of 1000- and 2000-level SCIENCE content (i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics); provide sound academic tutoring in individual and group sessions; assist students in developing transferable learning and study skills; build professional relationships with faculty, staff, students, other peer educators.

Through employment at The Learning Center, student staff has the opportunity to pursue Graduation with Distinction in Peer Education.
