Student Assistant - SDSU Global Campus International Programs

Overview

The Student Assistant will assist the international team of SDSU Global Campus with daily office operation (front desk), program operations, market research, digital marketing, student recruitment and communication. Prospective and current international students will be contacted via email, online chat, and social media. This position will also maintain various social media sites for prospective and current students, as well as assist the international staff in all needed areas related to international student service.








Responsibilities


Administrative Support (35%):
The Student Assistant is responsible for independently performing numerous and varied day-to-day project activities:
 
  • Assists with routine administrative tasks including organization of the front desk area; spreadsheets; operating copier/fax/computer equipment, deliveries, incoming/outgoing mail, and other tasks as assigned
  • Handle inquiries from phone calls and ALI LiveChat, take messages and forward to appropriate staff to further follow up
  • Update/Maintain student records in CRM when needed
  • Greeting visitors and providing customer service to students, faculty, staff, parents, and/or the public
  • Communicate with different departments within SDSU Global Campus
  • Assist tasks related to agent agreements and MOUs
 
Student Recruitment Support (30%)
  • Assist with executing the SDSU Global Campus international social media strategy, such as creating and posting related content, monitoring and responding to comments and messages
  • Monitor the general email address and respond to inquiries
  • Help various student activities, such as city tour, tabling
  • Respond to international student questions regarding housing, student life, etc.
  • Give campus tours to agents or prospective students as needed
  • Support other areas of marketing and communications as needed

International Program Support (30%)
  • Help with new student orientations at the beginning of each semester (spring, summer, fall)
  • Advise students under the guidance provided by program directors during orientation
  • Collect student course preference forms for Semester at SDSU program
  • Assist with learning agreements and scholarship document collection and processing
  • Under guidance provided by program director, assist with other program operation related tasks as needed
 
 
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED (5%)

MINIMUM EDUCATION
Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at SDSU

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
None
