CSBR Simulated Client Caller - Research Assistant (RA)

Job Description: Simulated client callers are Research Assistants who play a vital role in public health evaluation projects conducted by the Center for Social and Behavioral Research (CSBR). They conduct telephone calls to helplines or agencies contracted by the Iowa Department of Public Health. Callers assume the role of a simulated client to assess the quality of service or care provided to them. During and after the telephone call, text messaging interaction, or web chat, simulated clients use an evaluation form to assess elements of the helpline staff’s adherence to protocols and quality of services.

Qualifications:
·      Speak English fluently
·      Detail-oriented
·      Strong oral communication skills
·      Ability to stay in character and improvise to fit your simulated client profile
 
We can offer:
*$16.00/hour
*An on-campus location
*Experience in scientific research
*Flexible schedule
 
Expectations:
*Work a minimum of 2 hours per week; maximum of 6 hours per week
*Work hours will be concentrated primarily between October and early December, and again from March to early May
*Work hours are flexible, with shifts to be scheduled between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.; more flexibility in scheduling is available after the caller demonstrates the ability to work independently
