Cataloging & Metadata - Library Assistant

Rod Library is hiring a Library Assistant in the Cataloging & Metadata Unit of the Content Discovery Division.

This behind-the-scenes position prepares library materials for circulation and those that need repairs, checks for lost and missing items on the shelves, updates records in the online catalog, assists with inputting data into ScholarWorks (Institutional Repository), and performs other related tasks as assigned.

Number of Openings: 1
Hourly Wage Rate: $9.50
Hours Per Week: 10
Schedule: Work hours will be scheduled between 8:00 a.m.-5:00 pm. Monday-Friday with no weekend or evening hours.  This position will continue through the fall and spring semesters.

Preferred start date: January 23, 2023

  • Ability to follow directions, ask questions, and report anomalies.
  • Attention to detail and observant.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and push a full book truck.
