The Wilson College of Business at the University of Northern Iowa is seeking a creative and motivated student to join our team as a Graphic Design Assistant. This exciting role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with our Webmaster and Marketing and Communications Manager to update flyers, brochures, design social media graphics, and craft web images. This role allows you to showcase your design skills, contribute to our college's visual identity, and build a strong portfolio.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Update and design flyers and brochures that effectively communicate the college's programs and events.
  • Create visually appealing social media graphics to engage our online audience and promote college initiatives.
  • Design web images that enhance the user experience and support our digital presence.
  • Collaborate closely with the College of Business's Marketing and Communications Manager to ensure consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Review and incorporate feedback to refine design concepts and materials.
  • Manage project timelines to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality designs.
  • Stay updated with current design trends and incorporate them into your work.
  • Help maintain digital content, including websites, articles, and digital displays.
  • Tracking inventory of our promotional items.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong creativity and an eye for detail to produce visually appealing materials.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for graphic design and a desire to expand your skills in a professional environment.
