Recreation Staff

This position will be for the Summer/Fall Semester. Under general supervision, monitors access to the Wellness/Recreation Center, provides information for patrons, issues equipment, issues towels, assists with access to secured areas, and fulfills designated duties in the case of emergency. Recreation Services (RS) WD and FS staff are required to have Pro CPR or Adult CPR and AED certifications and will be required to understand RS emergency policies and procedures.

1. Safety of the Recreation Services patrons is essential; be visible and observant in your supervision.
2. Provide excellent customer service, as the Recreation Staff are the ambassadors of the Wellness and Recreation Center (WRC). Recreation Staff provide information to WRC participants, direction and a knowledgeable resource to WRC occupants. Greet the users as they enter and exit the facility.
3. Monitors access to the WRC; Check and scan UNI photo ID cards at the WRC Free Weight Room, and Mobile.
4. Enforce policies and procedures, cleaning, roaming with a purpose, and organizing.
