Freelance Content Creator
The Wilson College of Business at the University of Northern Iowa is looking for enthusiastic and imaginative students to join our team as Freelance Content Creators. This role offers an excellent opportunity for students who want to develop their skills in digital marketing, video production and content creation. As a Content Creator, you will collaborate with our Marketing and Communications Manager to brainstorm ideas, create storyboards, plan and execute content, and develop final materials. The content you create will encompass a wide range of subjects, such as the experiences of business students, career prospects, student organizations, campus life, internships, and other related topics. You will be responsible for creating 3-5 reels over the course of the year, based on a schedule mutually determined together, and will be compensated $75 for each video produced.
Responsibilities:
- Create short social media reels that are engaging, informative, and visually appealing
- Work closely with the College of Business's Marketing and Communications manager to review and approve concepts and videos
- Use videoing editing software or apps to edit and enhance videos
- Stay up-to-date with current social media trends and incorporate them into content creation
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that content is consistent with the College's brand guidelines
- Manage project timelines and ensure that deadlines are met
Qualifications:
- Experience with video editing software or apps (Ex. Capcut)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality content
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-starter is able to work independently and manage project timelines
- Passion for social media and content creation
