Student Event Support Specialist

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Gain practical experience in event management utilizing Salesforce. Work closely with a supportive team to build, manage, and troubleshoot events to support cross-campus faculty and staff.

OF TIME                CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

     45%        1.    Collaborate with the events team to configure, set up, and manage new events within the Salesforce platform. Adheres to departmental standards, policies, and procedures in the development process.

 

     20%        2.    Provide technical support to campus faculty and staff, addressing inquiries related to event setup, registration, and reporting processes. Collaborate with the IT department to troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues related to Salesforce event functionality.

 

     20%        3.    During periods of lower events activity, help the rest of the department by learning custom developed systems and developing online documentation to help campus users know how to use them.

 

     10%        4.    Contribute to the maintenance of accurate event records and attendee data in Salesforce, adhering to data privacy and security guidelines.

 

     5%          5.    Assist in the creation of training materials and resources to educate campus stakeholders on best practices for utilizing Salesforce event features.
